Access is provided to the historic heritage Václavská Štál, the main mine workings on the 1st floor level of the Pepř mine in Horní Studený and selected mine workings on the 1st floor level of the mine. The total length of the basic sightseeing tour is approximately 4 km. Locomotive passenger transport is provided on part of the tour circuit. The tour of the underground allows for an immediate experience and knowledge of the environment that for generations of miners in Jilemnice has been their workplace, their means of livelihood and a testament to their technical skill.
If you are interested in a tour of the Pepř Mine, it is possible to take a part of the underground, but the tour is possible only by prior arrangement. Please note that mining and mining activities are carried out in the underground of the Pepř mine and that it is imperative to accept the operational documentation and follow the instructions of our mining engineers. The maximum number of people to be carried out is 22 people per group. The total length of the basic tour is 4 km and the tour time is 2-2.5 hours. Visitors pay a fee associated with the cost of conducting. Children aged 6 years and over are allowed, but must be under constant parental supervision. Any physical limitations of visitors must be consulted in advance. The temperature in the mine shaft is around 11°C and there are strong draughts in places, with a locally lower profile of the mine workings, soiling of outer clothing and trousers may occur. As footwear, either boots or sturdy hiking boots can be used; clothing must always be equipped with long sleeves (unfortunately, visitors wearing short-sleeved clothing, sandals or crocs cannot be allowed into the tunnel for safety reasons). We provide other protective equipment (helmets and lights).
